    • International youth aged 18 to 35 participating in the International Experience Canada (IEC) program with a Working Holiday Visa.
  • How does payment work ?

At Mundo Squad, workers are paid directly by the growers, not by us. Wages follow industry standards and may vary depending on the type of fruit being harvested and the payment method (hourly or piece rate).

For example, some crops are paid by piece rate, allowing efficient workers to earn more based on their performance. Your earnings depend on your speed and efficiency, with most workers making anywhere from $100 to $400+ per shift.

Other tasks are paid hourly, meeting or exceeding the provincial minimum wage, depending on experience and skills.

In most cases, there are productivity and loyalty bonuses for workers who complete their contracts, and these bonuses are often paid in cash.

  • What are the working hours like for seasonal jobs ?

Working hours depend on the grower’s needs and the skill level of the team. For cherry picking, work typically starts between midnight and 6 AM and ends between 10 AM and 1 PM, depending on the heat and productivity. For other fruits and types of work, the hours are more regular, generally starting between 5 and 8 AM, with a lunch break around noon and finishing in the afternoon or early evening. So, the hours can vary, but there’s something for everyone !

  • What are the physical demands like for seasonal jobs ?

Seasonal work, especially in agriculture, can be physically demanding. It often involves repetitive movements, standing for long hours, and working in outdoor conditions. Being prepared for physical exertion and adapting to changing weather is essential for a successful experience.

  • What kind of accommodations do you provide for seasonal workers ?

We don’t directly provide accommodations, but we work closely with the growers to help them meet the basic needs of their workers. This includes access to water, toilets, showers, shaded areas for tents, cooking facilities, fridges, Wifi , and sometimes even laundry machines.
But it can vary depending on the location and the grower’s setup. We help make sure that essential needs are covered and try to find solutions to ensure a comfortable stay for the workers.

  • When is the best time to start picking season ? Can I get more details on the schedule ?

Great question mate ! The best time to start depends on the crop and location. To see when the picking season starts and ends for different fruits, be sure to check out the calendar.

  • What safety measures do you have for workers ?

Safety is a big deal for us. We make sure every worker gets the necessary safety training before starting their assignment. Growers follow safety standards, and we make sure everyone is working in a safe environment.
